Hi, my name is Joel and I have been involved with growing fruit and vegetables for most of my life.  I have learned a lot over the years and I believe I can help you to grow delicious and nutritious fruit in your own backyard.

I grew up in the Salem, Oregon area with a large rural garden and began picking blueberries and pruning fruit trees at a young age.  Through high school and college I continued to work in the field of gardening.  Since moving to Portland, Oregon in 1999, I have maintained a yard and garden business.  Through the years I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge through experience, books, networking and horticulture classes.  I have had a lot of success growing my own food and would love to help you get started.
